First year student here, thinking of pursuing architecture myself, I'm curious to the lifestyle of an architect. Mostly curious about 4 things you guys have as a student or full time architect. 1) Seeing how most of your the work seems to be project based(just assuming here) how has it effected your social life and use of money on a day to day basis? 2) How competitive would you say is architecture in a university or college setting? (I'm Canadian) or in a working environment? 3) is there any sacrifices or costs that would have to be made to become an architect, that wasn't included in the first two questions? 4) what is the methodical process that you guys go through when designing anything? Oh and are projects team based or mostly of an individuals design? Edit 1: Thanks guys for the quick response! This thread has given me a lot of insight. I guess I'll really need to give myself a more introspective consideration. Maybe another question then is 5) What drove you to become so passionate for architecture? (Your also still welcome to answer the previous questions too!) commercial restaurant equipment
